I'm Jim Winner. For more than twenty years I've worked with people who want something to change and can't make it shift on their own. The fear that won't quit. The habit that outlasts every attempt to drop it. The way you talk to yourself when no one's listening. The way you freeze in the room that matters.
My toolkit is hypnosis, hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and coaching, and I work across a range of hypnotic approaches rather than one fixed script. In NLP I hold two titles from the Society of Neuro-Linguistic Programming: Licensed Master Practitioner Neuro-Linguistic Programmer, and Licensed Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. I trained directly under Dr. Richard Bandler and John La Valle, who built the field. These are designations of the Society of NLP, not a government license. I'm not a licensed psychologist or counselor, and I don't present as one.
I'm also the creator of SOMType™, a framework for how individual people respond to suggestion and change. It's published and peer-reviewed in the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis (Taylor & Francis) and indexed in PubMed. You can read the paper. In practice it means the work I do with you is built around how you respond, instead of a script I run on everyone.
I work from a Chicago office and travel as needed, in person and remotely. More about my background at jimwinner.com.
